Other activities

There's more than just walking, cycling and horse riding on the Malvern Hills and Commons.  Visitors come to take part in a range of activities from fishing to photography.

Fishing

Fishing is permitted on many of the ponds, lakes and riversides under the care of the Trust.

We've recently updated our fishing code which provides information for anglers to help protect the local wildlife and the landscape. We will also be introducing permits for fishing on the River Severn at Clevelode from June.  Both the fishing code and the application form for a fishing permit for the River Severn at Clevelode can be downloaded below.

Hang gliding and paragliding

You may see hang gliders and paragliders soaring above the Malvern Hills landscape on a fine day.  We work in partnership with the Malvern Hang Gliding Club to keep pilots and other visitors safe and happy on the Hills.  Read our policy below for more information on flying from the Malverns.

Paragliders and hang gliders should contact the local club before flying on the Malverns and are required to be CP rated and have 15 hours experience to fly on the Malverns.
