Work continues in Thirds Wood

Woodland work in Thirds Wood will restart this week the conservation  project continues.

Contractors will be working in the woodland between Chase Road and Jubilee Drive over the next two days thinning some of the poorer specimen trees to provide space for others to grow and mature.

The upcoming works will have a lower impact on visitors than the larger scale works earlier this winter.  There are no paths in the work are so we will not be closing any paths whilst the thinning takes place. However, we do ask that, for your safety, you follow any instructions given by the contractors on site.

The thinning work is part of a larger woodland management project to secure the future of Thirds Wood.
