You may have seen information relating to a Private Bill being proposed by the Trust and concerns for the future of the Malvern Hills.
Like all those who care for this special place, we also have concerns about the future of the Malvern Hills and Commons and that’s why we’re putting forward a Private Bill later this year.
As a charity governed by statute we are introducing a new Bill to update our current governance arrangements that are stifling our ability to operate effectively and provide good value for money. There is no other way to make these changes other than through an Act of Parliament and the process of a Private Bill.
We have ambitious plans to safeguard this iconic landscape for people and nature for years to come. The detailed proposals are currently being finalised and will be shared ahead of a public consultation this summer. This will be an opportunity for everyone to have their say on the proposals.
