Welcome from the Malvern Hills Trust!

The charity caring for the Malvern Hills and Commons has launched a new website alongside its new brand.

The new brand, logo, website and name, Malvern Hills Trust, aims to promote better understanding of, and attract support for the work the organisation does to look after the Hills for wildlife, visitors and local people.

The Malvern Hills Trust, the new working name for the Malvern Hills Conservators, cares for over 1200 hectares of land including suburban commons, verges, wooded slopes and open hilltops.  This includes the main ridgeline of the Malvern Hills which rises above the Severn Plain and is an iconic feature in the English Landscape.

Hundreds of thousands of visitors come to the Malvern Hills each year including walkers, horse riders and cyclists, to enjoy the magnificent views but few know about the charity that looks after them.

Brand design agency Mytton Williams has been working closely with the Trust to create a strong, recognisable visual identity for the charity who cares for Malvern’s Hills and Commons.

Duncan Bridges, CEO, said ‘As an organisation we are very proud of our long history and the protection we have provided to the Malvern Hills.  We are also equally aware that we need to effectively communicate our identity and the  functions of our organisation to the public in a modern world setting.

‘After 45 years use our old logo was in need of an update.  This new brand, which includes the adoption of the new working name  Malvern Hills Trust,  gives us both a strong visual identity and  a title that conveys to the public  our core values and role in maintaining this iconic landscape.’

The last 12 months at the Trust has seen the production of a new Land Management Plan and a Business Plan for the charity, which together provide a clear direction for the organisation over the next 5 years.  Raising public awareness of the importance of conserving the landscape and the heritage of the Malvern Hills and attracting greater public support for its work are key aims for the organisation.

The new website has easy to find information on the important habitats, heritage and visitor access to the Hills and Commons.  This includes an interactive map to help visitors find their way and locate MHT car parks.  Latest news, updates and information for the local community and residents are also featured.

Better information provision will help to encourage responsible access on the Hills and help visitors to care for the Hills and Commons.

The Malvern Hills Trust would like to thank local people and visitors who continue to support the charity and the care of the Hills and Commons.

The new brand will also be rolled out across all the Trust’s leaflets, information boards and signage to replace them as required.
