Following the success of the first phase of work in Thirds Wood, the second phase begins next week.
On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday next week (21st, 22nd and 23rd Nov) contractors will be back in the wood to thin some of the smaller and weaker trees to allow the healthier trees to grow without competition.
The work is being undertaken in a small area of the woodland so we will only be closing one path through Thirds Wood. Please take notice of any signs within the woodland and follow their instruction for your safety. Please also take heed of any instructions that are given to you by the woodland contractors - also for your safety!
