At a meeting on Tuesday night, a new Chair of the Board of the Malvern Hills Trust was elected by trustees.
John Michael is now Chair for the charity caring for the Malvern Hills and Commons for the remainder of 2023/24.
Mr Michael said "I am deeply aware of the challenges that lie ahead and I will do my best to serve the Trust to the best of my ability and feel extremely privileged to serve the Trust as its Chair."
Mr Michael has held the position of Chair of Land Management Committee and Vice-chair of Governance Committee at the Trust, as well as having previously been Chair of Malvern Hills District Council in 2022/23. He has been on the Trust's Board since 2015 and is a nominated trustee of Malvern Hills District Council.
