New evening car park charges to be introduced

A new charging scheme is being introduced to Malvern Hills Trust car parks from next month.

From the 1st April, a reduced evening charge is being introduced for those visiting the Hills and Commons.

The new evening ticket will be available between 6pm and 11pm for £3.00.  Any tickets purchased between 6am and 6pm will cost £5.25, valid from the time of purchase to 11pm. Pay and display tickets are valid on the day of purchase across all the Trust’s car parks.

A spokesperson from the Trust said “The income our charity receives from the car park tickets and passes is essential in supporting our work to care for this landscape for people and wildlife.

“Following comments from visitors, we will be trialling an evening tariff from the 1st April 2023 for those visiting later in the evening.  This will provide better value for those who stay for shorter periods after work or later in the day.”

The Malvern Hills Trust manages ten pay and display car parks around the Hills and Commons, including the popular British Camp car park, offering starting points for walks and cycles on the Hills.

For those who live in the levy paying areas of Malvern Hills District Council wards of Chase, Dyson Perrins, Malvern Link, Pickersleigh, Priory, Wells and West Malvern and the parishes of Colwall, Guarlford and Mathon a concessionary parking pass is available.  For frequent visitors who live outside this levy paying area, an annual pass is are available to purchase.  Find out more by visiting our Parking page

The contribution made by the public through the purchase of parking passes supports the Trust’s work in caring for 1,200 hectares of the iconic Malvern Hills landscape open to the public.
