Volunteers clean up Malvern's green spaces

A morning's litter pick was a huge success after a team of volunteers joined the Malvern Hills Trust on Saturday to clean up Malvern's green spaces.

On what turned out to be a beautiful spring day, nine keen litter pickers collected 20 bags of litter from the verges along the Community Woodland, Townsend Way.

Beck Baker, Community and Conservation Officer said 'We'd like to say a huge thank you to all the volunteers who took part.  This was the first community litter pick since the start of the pandemic and we were thrilled at how people got stuck in to clear up this area!'

The litter pick was organised by the Malvern Hills Trust as part of the Keep Britain Tidy - Great British Spring Clean campaign which takes place each year.  This event was one of a number of events run by local charities and organisations to help tidy up Malvern and surrounding areas.
