Celebrating National Tree Week

Winter is the best time to plant trees and today marks the start of the celebration of tree planting and the value of trees.

National Tree Week (26th November - 4th December) is a great opportunity celebrate and to take the time to admire the trees around us, their place in the landscape and their value to people and wildlife.

More than 30% of the land we care for on the Hills and Commons is wooded.  You'll find much of this woodland around the lower slopes of the Hills so why not take a walk or cycle and admire the wonderful woodlands around us.  In addition to the woodlands, you'll find trees dotted around the landscape as in-field trees, in hedgerows, in orchards and along some of the roads and streets around Malvern.

Each day this week we'll be highlight the wonder of trees, how we care for and manage them, and what the future holds for our woodlands and trees across the Malvern Hills and Commons on Facebook and Twitter.  We'll also updating our latest news with some of the best bits.

Happy tree spotting!
