As the warmer weather and rain arrives grasslands across the Hills and Commons are coming to life. Whether on the tops of the hills, on the open commons or along the road verges, grasslands under the Trust's care are managed differently to balance the needs of people and wildlife.
Some areas are left uncut until later in the year, giving wildflowers an opportunity to bloom which provides important habitats for butterflies and bees. Small mammals and reptiles also find homes in these meadows. Other areas such as the football field on Malvern Common are mown regularly for local people to use.
