Spring has sprung and wells are dressed

Spring has fully sprung on the Malvern Hills and Commons.  You'll find blooms of wild garlic and bluebells in some of our woodlands and the skylarks can be heard singing above the commons.

It's also a special time of year for the springs and spouts in Malvern which have been beautifully dressed for the Well Dressing Festival.  Over the weekend, visitors admired more than 50 springs that have been decorated by schools, individuals and organisations.

Many of the wells are dressed up to the 8th May so there's still time to see them on your walk or ride.

Wells are dressed to celebrate Malvern's history and heritage based around the water cure.  This year's theme for dressing is 'Literature' and dressers have taken inspiration from many different authors and stories - some linking back to Malvern's rich literary associations and influencers such as C.S. Lewis.
