This National Volunteers week we'd like to say a huge thank you to our volunteers who support our charity and conserve the special Malvern Hills and Commons landscape.
Prior to March 2020, volunteers played a huge role in our organisation. People kindly gave their time to assist with sorting our archives and other administrative tasks, litter picking and wardening, and undertook practical conservation tasks. Between April 2019 and March 2020, more than 550 volunteer days were gifted by volunteers and we are extremely grateful for their time and skills.
Sadly, in March 2020 as the pandemic began, we had to stand down our teams of volunteers. Although the situation has improved slightly and we have been able to welcome back individuals and small teams of volunteers, we are not at full strength quite yet. We are very much looking forward to welcoming back all of our volunteers as soon as we can.
Whilst we restart our conservation volunteer tasks in a Covid-safe manner we are unfortunately unable to accept and new volunteers. New volunteer opportunities are expected to be available to later this year and more information will be published on how to get involved.
Thank you again to all our amazing volunteers and we are looking forward to you joining us again soon.
