Parking passes for the Malvern Hills car parks have been extended from the 31st March 2021 to the 31st May 2021.
An extension has been granted to cover the period lost by pass holders when the car parks were closed in March and April 2020 as a result of coronavirus. The current (blue) passes are now valid until the end of May.
New passes, valid from the 1st June 2021, are not yet available to purchase and further information will be published in May. The new passes will be £5.90 each.
Any passes purchased in March and April will only be valid until the 31st May 2021.

Beck Baker, Community and conservation officer said “In the first lockdown, the Trust’s car parks were closed for 6 weeks to minimise the spread of Covid which left people unable to take advantage of their passes. We have therefore extended the life of the pass for 8 weeks to the 31st May 2021, from the 31st March displayed on the passes”.
“As a charity, the income from the car park passes and tickets is essential and we thank everyone who has contributed in this way to the care of the Malvern Hills and Commons. This has allowed us to continue looking after this valuable landscape for people and wildlife throughout this difficult time.”
The levy payer passes (formally called Resident’s passes) are available to residents of the town of Malvern, and the parishes of Colwall, Guarlford, Malvern Wells, Mathon and West Malvern who pay a levy toward the Trust.
Those wishing to purchase a levy payers pass will be asked to provide a copy of their Council Tax bill which details the levy to the Trust as proof of their address.
An Annual Pass is available for those who live outside the levy paying areas, but are regular visitors to the Hills and Commons. An Annual Pass, valid for 12 months from the date of purchase, can be obtained from the Malvern Hills Trust’s office only for £39.00. A pass for a second vehicle at the same household can be purchased at a reduced rate of £15.00.
The contribution made by the public through the purchase of parking passes is an essential source of income that supports the charity’s work caring for the Hills and Commons. This support helps the Malvern Hills Trust to protect the ancient archaeology, conserve the habitats and species and keep the Hills open and accessible for all to enjoy.
