Dog walkers are invited to celebrate our four-legged friends with the Malvern Hills Trust.
On Saturday 25th May, the Trust will be hosting a dog-themed drop-in event on the Malvern Hills at Gardiner’s Quarry.
As well as information on how to have a happy dog walk on the Hills, there’ll also be the chance to meet some of the hill sheep, and an opportunity to pick up some top tips from a local dog behaviourist and trainer.
Beck Baker, Community and Conservation Officer said ‘All the family are invited, with dogs on leads please, and we’ll be providing dog treats and colouring activities meaning that there’s something for everyone.’
The event will be supported by the Malvern Hills District Council who will be spreading the word about their Green Dog Walkers campaign.
Visitors to the event will be invited to have their say about some of the issues relating to dogs on the Hills including sheep worrying and failing to pick up poo. Comments and suggestions will support the Trust’s campaign later this year to encourage dog owners to take care when walking on the Hills and Commons with their pet.
Details of the event can be found here.
