As a result of the Covid-19 outbreak, we have made some changes our day to day work. Many of our non-essential tasks have been postponed until Government restrictions have lifted and the situation has improved.
We will however continue to carry out essential works to conserve and protect the Malvern Hills landscape.
From next week our revised grass management programme will begin. Due to the current circumstances we won’t be undertaking our usual programme of works but we will still be carrying out some essential mowing tasks. These will include:
- Mowing of some verges, visibility splays and access points on the grounds of health, safety and welfare of highway users.
- Cutting key routes and amenity areas on the Commons to ensure local residents can safely exercise whilst maintaining good social distancing.
- Essential conservation mowing for species protection.
Individual members of staff will be carrying out the work in line with the Government’s social distancing guidelines.
